Be a Helping Hand in Our Community
We are currently looking for dedicated volunteers to join the Care Closet team and help us create a compassionate environment where everyone feels respected, valued, and honoured. Every moment you give makes a real difference.
How can I help?
We have a variety of ways you can contribute, ranging from hands-on service to administrative support. Below are the key areas where we need assistance:
Intake:
● Confirm neighbours (clients) ID, check into their well-being, share resources
Clothing/Kitchen/Household Bank:
● Assist neighbours with selections according to household and need.
Food Bank:
● Assist neighbours with food and personal care selections according to household and need.
Organization:
● Sort and organize food, clothing, kitchen & household donations.
● Restocking and shelf organization
Special Projects:
● Christmas Hampers,
● Care packages
● Delivery to neighbours
● Assist with donation drives and events
Hospitality: Serve our neighbours during MWCC hours.
Administrative:
● Assist with neighbour bookings, phoning, and other admin tasks
● Data Collection Technology
● Fundraising
● Social Media
● Community Awareness
● Marketing
Prayer Team:
● Attend Tuesday night prayer time
● Regularly pray for the MWCC needs.
