COMMUNITY CARE FUND
All funding that goes to the Community Care Fund allows us to keep our shelves stocked with food, clothing, and household items. Donate online today by clicking below (please ensure you select MW Community Care Closet under the “Fund” section)
In-Person Donations
Our donation bins have been removed in favor of set in-person drop-off hours.
Please include the following drop-off instructions: Drop off your clean, lightly used winter clothing and household items in good working order during the following hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
– During these hours, our staff will be available to help you bring your donations into the Care Closet. Please come to the Care Closet door to ask for assistance.
– Please do not leave any donations outside of these specified hours.
Donation Items Examples
We gladly appreciate you donating non-perishable food, clothing, and small household items, as long as they are in good condition (clean, not broken or unusable). All of these items will be given to someone in our community who is in need. At this time, the Care Closet does not accept books or larger furniture/items.
Needed Items:
– Food Items (Non-perishables): Cereal, crackers, chips, etc.
– Personal Care Items: Body wash, Shampoo & Conditioner, Soap, and deodorant.
Food items include any type of beans, cake mixes, cereal (corn flakes, raisin bran, wheat puffs, etc.), coffee, cooking oil, corn, any type of flour, jam, juice boxes (small and large), Kraft dinner, lentils, peanut butter, peas, powdered milk, rice, soups (tomato, vegetable, chicken noodle, mushroom), sugar, tea.
Personal care items include baby wipes, conditioner, deodorant, diapers (all sizes), feminine products, hand soap, laundry detergent, shampoo, toilet paper, tooth brushes, toothpaste.
Household items include any smaller items and products used around the home such as cutlery, dinner ware, dish soap, disinfectant wipes, facial tissues, lamps, laundry detergent, pet supplies, small appliances, and trash bags, bath towels, hand towels, soft bed sheets, a blanket or comforter, a bathmat, a flower vase (you never know when you’ll need it), coasters, window treatments, a clock, a full-length mirror, a lamp, area rug, wall art
Cleaning items include, all-purpose cleaner, disinfecting wipes, window cleaner, hand duster, detail brush, scrub brush, good cleaning cloth (microfiber or blue huck surgical towels), utility belt or storage caddy (to carry your cleaning supplies around from room to room), vacuum (handheld or larger variety), broom and dustpan, mop, rubber gloves, plunger, toilet brush, a bucket
Kitchen items include Dish cloths, dish scrub brush or sponge, drying rack, pot holders or oven mitts, skillet, measuring cup, measuring spoons, cutlery, paring knife, cutting board, baking pan (aluminum or glass), nonstick saucepan and lid, pot (big enough to boil a pound of pasta), drinking glasses, dinner plates, dinner bowls, mixing bowl, colander, can opener, bottle opener/corkscrew, whisk, cooking spoon, Food storage containers, like Tupperware, Ice cube trays, toaster, coffee maker, coffee mugs, kettle, hand mixer, baking sheet, meat thermometer
